Wastewater treatment

Selection guide

A good specification connects the water analysis, operating schedule and treatment target. Compare quotations against the same assumptions, including feed-water temperature, upstream preparation and what is excluded. If a water report is missing, send the available information and identify it as incomplete.

Packaged sewage treatment: define the design basis before choosing a system ↗

What to prepare

  • Average and peak daily flow; operating days
  • Wastewater source, water analysis and seasonal changes
  • Required discharge or reuse target supplied by the project
  • Available space, electrical supply and operator availability
Equipment capacity needs a defined wastewater basis, not only a tank size.

From first brief to a defined scope

  1. Define the influent
  2. Compare treatment routes
  3. Confirm the site interfaces
  4. Prepare the equipment enquiry

Make the scope explicit

Ask the proposal to distinguish equipment supply, civil works, external piping, electrical connections, commissioning, training and consumables. Confirm each responsibility in the project quotation. Items discussed on this website are planning considerations, not an automatic inclusion in every supply package.
